Jeremiah Palmer

I graduated from BHP High School, attended the Detroit Bible College and Living Water Bible College, graduated with and honors from Wayne State University. I am a life member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, ordained by the House of God in Detroit, MI and the Rocky River Baptist Association, Anderson, SC. I was wounded in Vietnam as a Marine, received a Purple Heart Medal, am a 100% Disabled Veteran and a Life Member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Association. Additionally, I am a Life Member of the DAV, and a member of the VFW.

I am also the Commandant and Chaplain of the Marine Corps League Upstate Marines Detachment 1106, Department Chaplain of South Carolina of the Marine Corps League, past Vice Moderator and past Moderator of Union #1 of the Little River Missionary Baptist Association. Also, I am the past Committee/Chairman of Hoskins Bargaining Unit for the UAW, the past Supervisor and Representative for Hoskins Manufacturing Company, Detroit, MI, Past Supervisor/Manager of General Kinetics Inc. I also was previously employed by the SC Employment Security Commission in Anderson SC. I am a retired US Postal worker in Greenville, SC and Past Assistant Pastor of New Broadmouth Baptist Church. Additionally, I am the past Pastor of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Greenville, SC as well as the Pastor of New Broadmouth Baptist in Honea Path, SC for 34 years.

I am currently a member and past Vice President, and President of the Board of the Belton Area Museum Association in Belton, SC. Also, I am the Chaplain of the Marine Corps Vietnam Veterans Lima 3/7, on the Board and am currently the Chaplain of Vets Helping Vets Anderson(VHVA). I am married to the former Lucy Rose of Newark, NJ. We have six children, one son-in-law, and three daughters-in-law. My wife and I have been happily married for fifty years as of Valentine’s Day 2020.
