Our Commitment To Diversity

At Vets Helping Vets Anderson, we aim to keep diversity, equity, and inclusion at the heart of our organization. Together, with members, donors, community leaders, government agencies, and other community organizations, we strive to transform systems to help create more equitable opportunities for all our veteran community.

VHVA, culture extends to its services. Based on basic beliefs - Values of Services to the Veteran, Respect for the Individual no matter who he/she is, Strive for Excellence and Act with Integrity – we aim to live VHVA’s culture and beliefs every day.

In addition to VHVA values, the VHVA marketing team, board, and members recognizes our service is a significant part of our impact. Our commitment to our veteran population is that we will act with integrity, provide clear and consistent communications and be responsive. In addition to our work with individual veterans and their spouses, we aim to build connections that can accelerate systems change.

Respect for the Individual is a deep commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Vets Helping Vets Anderson, believe diversity, equity and inclusion are vital elements of everything we do. We intend to live this through our daily actions and our services. In each of our services, we aim to invest in equitable outcomes. In strategy development, we study outcomes of our services and the specific barriers they face. Addressing these barriers becomes a lens we apply to our services of our veteran community. Examples include working with other veteran groups, private organizations, government agencies to ensure that all of our veteran community can get each one of our services, second-to-none. We work with our veterans and spouses, both internally and externally to make sure our DEI is equal to all we serve.
